St Peter’s HSS was established in 1921 as an English middle school by Rev.Fr. George Mukkattukunnel Jr. The site for the school was denoted by the mukkattukunnel family. Fr. Gregory Thychery was the first headmaster of the middle school.
The high school started functioning in June 1952. The foundation stone for the high school building was laid by His Grace Mar Mathew Kavukatt. The first headmaster of the high school was Mr. P.M Joseph Puthenpurackal.
The high school was upgraded as a higher secondary school in 1998. Fr george Edathinakam was the manager during the period. The construction of the higher secondary block was completed in 2000. The new building was blessed by His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil in the presence of C.F Thomas MLA. In 2002, a new block has added to the high school section. It is named the Golden Jubilee Memorial Block.
The newly finished and digital lab of the higher secondary section was blessed by His Grace Mar Joseph Perumthottam.
